AUOMMATON Team Visits HERO Motorcycle Assembly Plant in Ogun State, Applauds Female Mechanics

A team from the Amalgamated Union of Motor Mechanics and Technicians of Nigeria (AUOMMATON) continued their tour of the South-West region with a visit to the HERO Motorcycle Assembly Plant in Ogun State.
The visit was aimed at evaluating the performance of female mechanics actively engaged in the assembly of motorcycles at the plant. These women, trained as qualified auto mechanics, were observed skillfully assembling motorcycles, showcasing their technical expertise and commitment to excellence.

Speaking during the tour, Comrade Oseni Suleiman, the National President of AUOMMATON, expressed satisfaction with the progress of the partnership between the Union and the assembly plant. “This collaboration has gained a very solid momentum, and it’s inspiring to see women excelling in what is traditionally a male-dominated field,” he said.
The visit underscores AUOMMATON’s dedication to fostering inclusivity and professional development within Nigeria’s automotive industry. The initiative to support female mechanics is seen as a significant step towards breaking gender stereotypes and promoting equal opportunities in the sector.

The HERO Motorcycle Assembly Plant has been a key partner in advancing AUOMMATON’s vision of skill development and empowerment in the automotive industry.
